My Last Email to a Once Great Lover

I must, must, must let you know that Celine and Jesse are back together in “Before Midnight,” and, yes, this time they are married with twin girls. I haven't seen it yet, but the critics are raving about the brilliant conversation and the theme about the sacrifices you make whether you stay or whether you go.  (You know how we always shared a mutual love of those "Before" films).  Maybe, you can watch it at the Palads in Copenhagen.

Yes, I was there last month and your city was truly wonderful.  I especially loved taking in its clean air. I didn’t know that air could be so clean, that you could take it in all the way to the depth of yourself. And, I ran around naked with your Danish woman at your pools/bathhouses, and I took a nap at your beautiful cemetery, Assistens Kieerkegaard (I have always wanted to be cremated, but it would be worth rotting to the core if I was surrounded by such a beautiful garden, trees and lounging people).  I also drank delicious but very expensive Danish beer at one of your pubs (I can't believe the cost of living in your country, which you once explained to me was due to the welfare system you have in place) .
Anyway, your women are very pretty (If I was a man I wouldn't mind being a Danish one), and your men are feisty and lusty.  Overall, your people are hardworking, smug, but very happy, as I noticed at the constant party taking place in Tivoli Gardens. Of course, I hated to see the poverty in your city and how some minorities were relegated to looking for recycable cans in order to eat, but I guess not everything can be perfect, even though the Danes try to make it so with their fairy tale facade of pretty flowers, clean streets, swans in the water, the Little Mermaid, etc. But, we both know that where there is a fairy tale there must also be a wolf.
