What He Left Me With

I just want you to know that you once gave me a feeling of belonging to someone.  I don’t speak for you. I refer only to my feelings.  I know how you are about your freedom and sense of space.  I also know you fear close relationships. But this wasn’t about having a relationship with you. After our online conversations and our meeting in Amsterdam, there was nothing left between us.  Still, for the time it lasted, my connection to you felt like a sanctuary, a faraway place that existed regardless of whether I wanted it or not. It was place where I belonged and where I had peace, understanding and pure love.  And, that was really wonderful.  So, thank you!!!
