F,
I'm sorry for not showing up to our chat
I've thought about what happened between us on that dating site, and I realized sometimes I come across the "real" thing--no matter its origin or form, whether a great friendship, meal, wine, perfume, conversation, moment. I know from past experiences these things are rare and special, and if I do not recognize them, they happen less often. I also think the gods bless me more often when I see things for what they are.
In a way, I am writing this because I don't want life to stop surprising me. What I'm trying to say is I acknowledge your messages last week were funny, honest, surprising, and... real. And it wouldn't matter if they were transmitted via a dating site, emails, telephone conversations or smoke stacks. I do not want to lose faith in the fact that the most wonderful things happen in unexpected ways and places, even if it is on cyberspace or at the local supermarket...
I wish you the best.
